The Greater Good charities are some of my absolute favorite charities, because I love their business model: the donor can click to give which means money goes to the charity without a penny out of the donors pocket! If you are a giving person you know you want to give to many causes but you just can't.

"Click to Give" means that advertisers will give money to the charities every time a donor clicks on the magic buttons. Easy - peasy!

By clicking on Magic Buttons you can help people with autism and breast cancer. You can help Humane Societies across the country through the Animal Rescue society. You can help the hungry and children who are desperate for life-giving health therapies. You can help homeless Veterans get a meal, and buy an acre of Rainforest that is preserved forever. Giving makes my life better - it increases my gratitude for being alive, helps me remember what is important and makes me feel more significant on this planet. I am so glad there are easy ways to give!

Sometimes the needs of the world are so compelling that we can feel small, and we can start to numb out. There is no need to do that, there is always something positive you can do. Help to Families on the Autism Disorder Spectrum

This was the last lens I published in this series because I did not know much about the topic, and did not want to give people any false information. I found out that autism is a hugely individualized disorder, with the range of intellectual capacity from mentally handicapped to genius, and the ability to function in society individualized as well. I was touched and inspired by learning about people like Temple Grandin and Jason McElwain - who rose above their challenges to give to the world. And I was energized to help the families of those struggling to help their dependent autistic kids even more.

A Charity that I Feel Personally Passionate about

I wish that I didn't have such familiarity with the charity this site supports - breast cancer. I have survived breast cancer twice, after going through all the major therapies: chemotherapy, radiation, lumpectomy and finally a double mastectomy.

My cancer was discovered both times in a mammogram. I have great health coverage, and routine mammograms are covered. This is not the case for so many women.
